As a mechanical and renewable energy engineer, my roots are in industry and technology. As consultant and auditor, the focus of my work today is in energy and environmental management and organizational development. In the last 10 years, I have successfully consulted more than 50 organizations to improve their energy and environmental performance, conducted more than 40 energy and environmental audits and provided more than 40 trainings and workshops for more than 550 participants. I am 39 years old and live in Cologne, in the heart of Germany. I am member of the German Association of Engineers (VDI e.V.) and the European Network of Environmental Professionals (ENEP, VNU e.V.). I am fluent in German and English and speak basic Persian, Spanish, Portuguese and French.
I have taken over responsibility as managing director of WertSicht GmbH in January 2019, where I have worked as senior consultant for energy and environmental management from 2011 to 2014. During this time, I led several carbon emission reduction projects totalling 11,164 tons of CO2 eq. in reduction and 3.2 million € in operational costs savings for the industrial, commercial and public organizations participating in those projects. From 2014 to 2018, I worked as freelance consultant. In 2016, I started a sustainability company in Nigeria together with a local business partner, called Ecowatt Nigeria Ltd. I have substantial experience working overseas. I worked for the German Agency for International Cooperation (giz) for four years as technical consultant and project manager in Afghanistan. I continually have long and short term assignments in Sierra Leone, Brazil, Rwanda, Nigeria, Costa Rica, Jordan, India, South Africa and other countries.
My clients today include PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the German Development Bank (KfW), German Agency for International Cooperation (giz), GFA Consulting Group as well as global industrial leaders like Nestlé, Axa Insurances, Trumpf Laser-Technology, Mercedes-Benz, SGL Carbon, HILITE, Schneider Electric and many others.
